MSP Polar Bear Plunge 2011
This Saturday, Drew and I will once again take part in the MSP Polar Bear Plunge at Sandy Point State Park to help raise money for the athletes of Special Olympics Maryland! We'll be taking a dip into the FREEZING Chesapeake Bay with about 10,000 other people, hoping to bring awareness to the thousands of citizens with intellectual disabilities, and to honor our sweet 4 year old nephew, Vinnie.
I've set a personal fundraising goal, and would love some help to reach it - any amount would be greatly appreciated! It all goes to a wonderful cause! Please visit my fundraising page here: http://plunge15.kintera.org/mvmiller.
If you'd like to learn more about this awesome event, please visit the MSP Polar Bear Plunge website to find out all of the details. Thank you so much for your support!
Below is a collage of pictures from the last plunge we participated in. The water was a balmy 34 degrees.
And because he's such a cutie, here's a picture of Vinnie with his Titas (which means "aunts" in Tagalog).
